Open Remote in the File menu launches the Remote Files dialog . This allows you to access previously opened documents that are on remote servers. It also allows you to connect to a server. Here are the server types you can connect to:

  • IBM Connections Cloud
  • Lotus Quickr Domino
  • Nuxeo 4.5
  • OpenDataSpace
  • OpenText ELS 10.2.0
  • SharePoint 2010

  • Other CMIS
  • WebDav
  • FTP
  • SSH
  • Windows Share
  1. Click Open Remote from the File menu. Enter the Master password if you have previously connected to a server. *See below to learn more about the master password.
  2. Click Add Services. This will launch the File Services dialog.
  3. Choose the desired service from the drop-down menu in that dialog.
  4. Fill out the fields for that service.
  5. Click the OK button.

The first time you launch the dialog and connect to a server, you will be asked to establish a master password for LibreOffice. Subsequent connections will require you to enter the password.
